Senior Manager, SAP Software Engineering – CVS Health (Scottsdale Hybrid)

Lead SAP engineering for CVS Health’s Billing and Finance applications. Direct S/4HANA transformation, production support, compliance, and enterprise engineering teams.

Description

  • Lead and develop SAP technical and functional teams supporting Billing and Finance applications
  • Own delivery and production support for SAP Billing and Finance, including billing, receivables, customer data, financial posting, payables, interfaces, reporting, and controls
  • Lead the migration of complex billing and finance processes from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA across the full delivery lifecycle, including discovery, design, testing, training, cutover, hypercare, and legacy retirement
  • Collaborate with Finance, Billing Operations, accounting functions, audit, security, Basis, QA, architecture, program delivery, and other SAP teams
  • Define application roadmaps, delivery priorities, estimates, staffing plans, and funding requirements
  • Guide SAP SD and FI/CO integration, ABAP development, interfaces, batch processing, document generation, master data, and downstream reporting design
  • Apply SAP standards while advancing simplification, reuse, automation, and maintainability
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment and post-production validation
  • Direct root-cause analysis, problem management, job and interface monitoring, second-level on-call support, service metrics, and resolution of business-critical issues
  • Maintain compliance with SOX, SOC, HIPAA, security, privacy, change-management, access-control, and audit-evidence requirements
  • Serve as application owner and management contact for technology controls, access reviews, audits, risk assessments, continuity planning, and compliance records
  • Manage internal, offshore, contractor, and vendor resources, including hiring, onboarding, assignments, delivery oversight, statements of work, and knowledge transfer
  • Build team capability through mentoring, cross-training, documentation, runbooks, technical standards, and knowledge sharing
  • Foster engineering quality, accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and effective use of automation and AI tools

Requirements

  • At least eight years of progressive SAP application delivery, development, configuration, integration, or production support experience, including leadership of complex enterprise initiatives
  • Experience leading technical and functional teams through prioritization, coaching, performance management, resource planning, and colleague development
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP Billing, Sales and Distribution, or Finance processes, including integration between SD and FI/CO
  • Experience leading initiatives through requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, cutover, and production stabilization
  • Strong understanding of software engineering, system integration, batch and interface processing, data reconciliation, change management, and production support
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, operational risk, delivery commitments, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Preferred: Experience leading SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation, Finance modernization, or a comparable large-scale migration
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SAP Billing, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Controlling, CO-PA, Treasury, Banking, Cash Application, Collections, Dispute Management, or payment processes
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of ABAP, SAP Fiori, OData services, HANA, SLT, Central Finance, ArchiveLink or content-server integrations, EDI, and enterprise reporting solutions
  • Preferred: Experience managing third-party vendors, statements of work, offshore delivery teams, and augmented resources
  • Preferred: Experience with SOX or SOC controls, audit evidence, segregation of duties, periodic access reviews, and application security governance
  • Preferred: Experience with Agile delivery, portfolio planning, estimation, financial management, operational metrics, and executive status reporting
  • Preferred: Ability to use AI tools to streamline workflows and incorporate AI capabilities into supported systems and business processes
