Senior Frontend Engineer, Media Production (Remote in Colombia)

Description
- Own the design and delivery of a modern headless frontend architecture for a high-traffic global news platform
- Deliver major frontend releases against an ambitious early-next-year launch target
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, component patterns, testing, and reviews
- Take responsibility for Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility, and page speed across user-facing experiences
- Connect scalable headless CMS platforms with internal backend APIs
- Support mid-level engineers through mentorship and collaborate with engineering leaders on architecture
- Use and improve AI-assisted and agentic practices throughout the engineering lifecycle
Requirements
- At least five years of senior-level ownership of frontend production systems
- Deep production experience with React and Next.js, including SSR, SSG, ISR, and the App Router
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript as a primary programming language
- Demonstrated ability to integrate frontend applications with headless CMS platforms and APIs
- Solid knowledge of Core Web Vitals, CDNs, caching strategies, and asset optimization
- Regular experience using AI coding tools and agentic development workflows
- Professional English proficiency for daily collaboration with a US-based team
- Current residence in Latin America
