Senior Data Engineer, Dataiku & Machine Learning — Spain (Remote)
Senior Data Engineer responsible for building Dataiku workflows and developing machine learning models. Help Cívica deliver data solutions that support the digital transformation of large organizations.
Description
- Build, improve, and maintain data workflows in Dataiku Flow
- Create efficient, scalable, and maintainable analytical processes and machine learning models
- Use Python and SQL to extract, transform, clean, and model large datasets
- Apply statistical, sampling, and machine learning methods to produce predictive models
- Define validation approaches and assess model performance
- Maintain the quality, consistency, reliability, and interpretability of analytical outputs
- Work with stakeholders and business teams to turn needs into technical specifications and analytical solutions
- Connect data, models, and analytical processes across multidisciplinary teams
- Follow development standards and programming practices that support quality, maintainability, and reproducibility
- Record workflows, processes, models, and analytical findings
- Make data assets easier for the team to understand, maintain, and reuse
Requirements
- Substantial experience with Dataiku DSS
- Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL
- Practical experience with Python libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
- Understanding of statistics, including sampling, distributions, and hypothesis testing
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning
- Ability to validate and assess results using performance metrics
- Ability to examine result quality and identify potential bias
- Business orientation is preferred
- Strong communication skills are preferred
- Comfort working collaboratively is preferred
- Analytical ability and critical thinking are preferred
