Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, FP&A Analytics

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst supporting Hitachi Vantara’s FP&A modernization through Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. Build governed dashboards, automate reporting, and deliver financial insights for executive decision-making.

Description

  • Build and maintain enterprise Power BI solutions spanning data models, semantic layers, and interactive dashboards
  • Improve Power BI performance through query folding, model optimization, and DAX refinement
  • Deploy Microsoft Fabric capabilities such as Direct Lake, Lakehouse, and semantic models
  • Use Medallion architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers
  • Work with data engineering teams to develop ETL and ELT pipelines
  • Verify data quality and integrity with SQL and defined business rules
  • Unify financial, sales, and operational data for consolidated reporting
  • Create advanced DAX measures, KPIs, and business logic
  • Define and uphold BI standards, governance practices, version control, and documentation
  • Create consistent financial reporting frameworks for forecasting, budgeting, and performance management
  • Advance FP&A through automation, optimized workflows, AI-assisted analytics, and Copilot capabilities
  • Scale reporting processes to improve accuracy, shorten delivery cycles, and promote analytical consistency
  • Work with Finance and Operations leaders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and align analysis
  • Direct cross-functional analytics programs while managing scope, schedules, and deliverables
  • Deliver training and knowledge-sharing initiatives that strengthen organizational data literacy

Requirements

  • US residency and either a Green Card or US citizenship are required
  • At least five years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, FP&A analytics, or a related discipline
  • Advanced Power BI expertise, including data modeling, DAX, semantic model design, and performance optimization
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Direct Lake, Lakehouse, or modern data architecture
  • Working knowledge of Python for data transformation or automation
  • Strong command of data modeling, star schema design, and BI governance practices
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, with experience analyzing revenue, margin, product or category performance, and operational KPIs
  • Ability to turn analytical results into strategic business insights and explain complex findings to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional initiatives and effective prioritization across concurrent projects
