Senior Business Controller, Healthcare

Serve as a senior finance partner to HAP Rijnmond, which organizes out-of-hours GP care. Connect financial insight, KPIs and data to better decisions about care.

Description

  • Partner with executive and management teams on business decisions.
  • Analyze financial results, capacity, staffing, quality, access, output and demand for care.
  • Prepare analyses, business cases and scenarios.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and the performance cycle.
  • Link strategy, KPIs, forecasts, management discussions and follow-up actions.
  • Identify and raise opportunities, risks and variances.
  • Build financial and business awareness across the organization.
  • Support executive and management teams in making informed decisions.
  • Further develop Business Control at HAP Rijnmond.
  • Work with Business Intelligence to develop decision-support data, forecasts, scenario analyses, management and capacity information, and dashboards.
  • Provide functional guidance to the mid-level Business Controller and support their development.
  • Help advance Business Control and strengthen its position within the organization.

Requirements

  • Academic-level working and thinking ability.
  • A completed or advanced RC (Registered Controller) qualification is an advantage.
  • At least five years of experience as a Business Controller, preferably in a complex organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex issues to their core.
  • Confident in advising and challenging executive and management teams.
  • Able to work effectively across different organizational levels.
  • Able to bring colleagues along through analysis and provide subject-matter guidance.
  • Curiosity about the business behind the numbers, as well as data and digitalization.
  • Healthcare experience is an advantage but not required.
