Description

  • Manage payroll processing, payments, and reporting for the Bangladesh team
  • Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities for the Bangladesh entity
  • Maintain compliance with Bangladesh statutory obligations
  • Oversee tax submissions in partnership with local advisors
  • Track Bangladesh tax and accounting-regulation changes and evaluate their operational effects
  • Supervise local staff supporting US accounting processes, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and expense reporting
  • Prepare and review designated balance-sheet reconciliations for US entities
  • Partner with the US headquarters finance team on consolidated reporting and audit needs
  • Apply company accounting policies and follow directives from US headquarters
  • Oversee daily cash management and banking relationships in Bangladesh
  • Ensure foreign remittances and inbound and outbound payments comply with Bangladesh Bank requirements
  • Lead, coach, and develop accountants and finance personnel in the Bangladesh office
  • Define performance goals, conduct recurring reviews, and support employee development
  • Promote financial accuracy, ownership, and ongoing process improvement

Requirements

  • At least seven years of progressive accounting experience, including two or more years in a supervisory or management position
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of Bangladesh tax rules, including VAT, TDS, and corporate income tax
  • Experience using ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or comparable systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
  • Background with a US-headquartered company or a comparable international market
  • High attention to detail, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to balance competing deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience operating in dual-GAAP environments is preferred
  • Previous experience in a multinational organization is preferred
  • CA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred
