Senior Accountant (Remote, Philippines)

Senior Accountant responsible for client month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting. The role supports ecommerce and CPG clients by maintaining accurate records and delivering work on time.

Description

  • Manage or support the complete month-end close for an assigned client portfolio, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related activities.
  • Take ownership of designated accounting responsibilities throughout the month-end close process.
  • Prepare client accounting outputs and assist with their timely delivery.
  • Address client inquiries and track unresolved matters through completion.
  • Collect, organize, and follow up on missing client documentation.
  • Keep accounting system records accurate, current, and well organized, including records in Double.
  • Surface open items, obstacles, and issues to the Controller before they affect deadlines.
  • Contribute to accounting process improvements, efficiency projects, and broader team initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Controller and colleagues to complete client engagements accurately and on schedule.
  • Depending on the engagement structure, serve as Controller and lead Staff Accountant for an assigned client.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Experience handling inventory and cost accounting.
  • Background in transactional accounting.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting practices used by ecommerce or CPG businesses.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to keep records accurate and current.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, pursue outstanding items, and raise issues proactively.
  • Experience with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) accounting is preferred.
  • Experience with ecommerce accounting is preferred.
