Senior Accountant - Hybrid

Senior Accountant responsible for month-end close, reconciliations, audits, tax requests, and financial analysis. QualDerm Partners supports dermatology, skin cancer, cosmetic, plastic surgery, and pathology practices across multiple states.

Description

  • Prepare general ledger entries and maintain organized accounting records.
  • Complete account reconciliations for the month-end close.
  • Support month-end close activities, including bank reconciliations.
  • Respond to annual audit and tax-related requests.
  • Research and interpret accounting and financial data to resolve questions.
  • Develop spreadsheet reports, evaluate options, and verify financial information.
  • Act as the primary accounting contact for assigned regional operations, including the Regional Vice-President.
  • Provide support to the Director of Accounting as needed.
  • Complete additional analyses and duties as assigned.
  • Identify issues and develop appropriate resolutions.
  • Interpret, adapt, and apply applicable guidelines and procedures.
  • Build effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, colleagues, and the public.
  • Prepare documents and reports containing Protected Health Information in compliance with HIPAA Privacy Rule requirements.
  • Follow HIPAA security policies, procedures, expectations, and professional responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • At least two years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented startup environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience presenting financial results to operations leaders and addressing questions about monthly performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including analysis of large data sets.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Experience supporting physician services across multiple entities or locations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, bank reconciliations, audits, and tax requests.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, INDEX-MATCH, VLOOKUP, and large-data-set analysis.
  • Understanding of HIPAA security policies and responsibilities for protected health information.
  • Current authorization to work full-time in the United States.
