Senior Accountant, Cross-Border Tax (Hybrid) | Baker Tilly

Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Accountant to prepare and review cross-border individual and corporate tax returns. The role also supports tax planning, client account management, and junior team development.

Description

  • Prepare and review cross-border individual and corporate tax returns as applicable
  • Verify tax assessments
  • Conduct technical research and document recommendations for tax plans
  • Communicate with clients, other advisors, and tax authorities
  • Coordinate and manage client accounts
  • Support managers and partners on tax initiatives, including the development and implementation of client tax-planning strategies
  • Analyze and research tax questions from clients, Partners, Senior Managers, and Managers
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver strong client service
  • Guide junior team members and help ensure filings are completed by assigned deadlines
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • CPA, CA, or currently pursuing a CPA designation, with UFE/CFE completed
  • At least two years of relevant work experience
  • Public-practice accounting firm experience is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and client-service abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Well-developed organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Availability for a Monday-to-Friday schedule
