Description

  • Review a daily queue of system-generated political markets by a fixed completion deadline.
  • Evaluate candidate markets for factual accuracy, clarity, authoritative resolution sources, and specified settlement dates.
  • Verify opening and closing times, including timing changes caused by runoffs, recounts, and certification.
  • Apply settlement rules for election calls, concessions, recounts, certification, runoff triggers, ballot measures, legislative vote counts, and official corrections.
  • Check compliance with community standards and content guidelines, escalating ambiguous or sensitive cases.
  • Approve, edit, or reject candidate markets while documenting structured reasons.
  • Refine market questions and resolution language for greater precision.
  • Write timestamped clarifications and resolve settlement exceptions involving contested results, recounts, and litigation.
  • Track live markets, campaign schedules, polling releases, and political and press social media to identify errors and missed events.
  • Take part in weekly calibration reviews.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in political trading or prediction markets, political data operations, political or data journalism, editorial work, polling and election modeling, or a comparable role requiring current subject-matter expertise.
  • Current, demonstrable fluency in U.S. politics and elections across federal, state, and major local races.
  • Fluency in political media and political social media.
  • Working knowledge of official election administration and settlement practices, including certification timelines, recount thresholds, runoff triggers, Electoral College mechanics where relevant, and authoritative sources for results and vote counts.
  • Demonstrated judgment when handling contested results, litigation, ballot curing, and ambiguous or delayed official calls.
  • Ability to quickly interpret authoritative sources and make defensible determinations.
  • Exceptional written precision under deadlines, including the ability to draft unambiguous rules.
  • Comfort applying written policy frameworks and escalating politically sensitive or contested topics instead of making unsupported assumptions.
  • Availability to work flexible evening and weekend hours around debates, primaries, and election nights.
