Description

  • Prepare engineering calculations, load-path layouts, and construction drawings for residential and commercial projects
  • Calculate gravity, lateral, foundation, and retaining systems
  • Design wood-frame components such as shear walls, joists, and beams
  • Design reinforced-concrete foundations, slabs, and columns
  • Produce structural plans, sections, and framing details in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and project leads to support constructability
  • Apply IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and NDS requirements to structural designs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Two to five or more years of structural design experience, including demonstrated work with wood and concrete
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools such as Enercalc, RISA, WoodWorks, or RAM
  • EIT certification is preferred; progress toward SE or PE licensure is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving ability, and clear communication
  • Professional conduct and ethical judgment
