Join Synthomer as a remote Data Engineer in the Netherlands, developing scalable Databricks and Apache Spark platforms. Your work will support analytics, AI, data governance, and digital transformation across the business.

Description

  • Develop scalable data pipelines and integrations spanning enterprise systems and external sources.
  • Build and maintain cloud data products with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark.
  • Produce reliable datasets for analytics, reporting, and artificial intelligence initiatives.
  • Establish frameworks for data quality, governance, security, and monitoring.
  • Partner with Data Scientists on advanced analytics and machine learning applications.
  • Advance the global data ecosystem and strengthen engineering standards through continuous improvement.
  • Help expand and mature the newly established Digital Centre of Excellence.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Translators, Enterprise Architecture teams, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bring 3–5 years of professional Data Engineering experience.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Databricks, and Apache Spark.
  • Have experience developing ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Understand data modelling, architecture, and governance principles.
  • Have worked with modern data platforms and scalable data solutions.
  • Bring a collaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills.
