Remote Cloud Developer (Salesforce) – United States

Build Salesforce solutions for CMS Marketplace programs at General Dynamics Information Technology. Develop cloud applications with Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, Python, and Java.

Description

  • Build tailored Salesforce solutions for Marketplace programs
  • Develop custom applications with Apex, Salesforce Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, Python, Java, and related tools
  • Build Lightning Web Components with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS that follow the Salesforce Lightning Design System
  • Integrate Salesforce capabilities using Apex and Salesforce Object Query Language
  • Convert complex mathematical concepts into application logic with Python and Java
  • Assist the Product Owner with requirements discovery, solution analysis, and dependency identification
  • Review code with fellow developers and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain technical documentation, coding conventions, and Salesforce policies and procedures
  • Contribute across the complete application lifecycle, from design and requirements through development, testing, and deployment
  • Investigate and resolve defects during delivery and after production release
  • Work with Solutions Architects, the Development Manager, developers, Business Analysts, CMS stakeholders, and Agile teams
  • Manage complex policy and system integration work across multiple Salesforce organizations
  • Provide technical support and end-user troubleshooting for defects, enhancements, and how-to requests
  • Travel less than 10%

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least six years of hands-on programming or custom development experience with object-oriented and scripting languages
  • Practical experience with an object-oriented language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#
  • Experience deploying applications to and working in hyperscale cloud environments
  • Experience deploying and operating workloads on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard secure development practices and scalable coding patterns
  • Experience using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, Copado CI/CD, or Jenkins
  • Experience with Git and source-control platforms such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience using Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, or IntelliJ
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a CMS Public Trust clearance
  • Must have lived in the United States for at least three of the past five years
  • Must work remotely on schedules aligned with Eastern Standard Time
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available
  • Preferred knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, and JSON
  • Preferred experience developing SOAP and REST web services
  • Preferred experience with REST APIs
  • Healthcare services or CMS experience is preferred
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint is preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban is preferred
