Remote Claims Adjuster

Steadily is seeking a contract Claims Adjuster to handle U.S. property-insurance claims remotely. The role covers loss investigation, coverage decisions, customer communication, claim payments, and exterior estimating.

Description

  • Manage assigned desk claims through resolution while following applicable regulations and program requirements.
  • Gather appraisals, estimates, cause-and-origin reports, and other documentation needed to investigate losses.
  • Communicate with policyholders by phone, text, email, or mail according to their preferred contact method.
  • Evaluate estimates and reports, then issue payments due under policy terms.
  • Keep claim files complete and accurate through detailed documentation, timely diary updates, correct coverage application, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for exterior property damage.
  • Support customers throughout the claims process with empathy, precision, and timely guidance.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience adjusting property and casualty insurance claims.
  • An active adjuster license is required.
  • Professional experience with homeowners, condominium, or landlord insurance is required.
  • Experience with Xactimate is preferred.
  • Familiarity with third-party claims and first-party litigation is helpful.
  • AIC and/or ARM credentials are advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Broad knowledge of claims practices, estimating, claims workflows, coverage application, subrogation, SIU, and related insurance matters is required.
  • Experience with subrogation, fraud investigations, or property-damage estimating is beneficial.
  • Above-average computer proficiency is required.
  • Must be able to learn new software independently and quickly use online resources.
  • Must manage a substantial workload with limited supervision.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
