Procurement Specialist – Civil Engineering (Hybrid)

Lead project-based civil engineering procurement at Heinrich Hamelmann, a mid-sized construction company. Select suppliers, negotiate agreements, and support construction projects from the procurement side.

Description

  • Own project procurement independently, from the tender stage through successful completion
  • Track market developments and assess procurement conditions
  • Source and secure suitable suppliers and subcontractors
  • Build and sustain long-term partnerships with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Negotiate prices and contracts, then finalize the required agreements
  • Coordinate closely with Construction Management and Estimating
  • Maintain thorough records and ensure timely follow-up on procurement activities

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training, such as Industrial Management Assistant training, or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or a related industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365
  • Experience using ERP systems and estimating software
  • Sound knowledge of construction and contract law, especially VOB/B
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, combined with a structured and self-directed working style
