PD Engineer Trainee

Support Ford’s automotive engineering team with C2 platform cost-reduction work across engines, transmissions, and related hardware. Use AI tools, Power Apps, Jira, dashboards, and executive reporting to improve engineering workflows and visibility.

Description

  • Identify AI-driven opportunities to streamline repetitive cost-reduction and engineering work
  • Create and maintain Power Apps that digitize workflows and consolidate data collection
  • Help organize and monitor Jira tickets and project boards
  • Maintain dashboards and reports covering cost status, project progress, and key metrics
  • Prepare concise summaries and dashboards for Chief Engineer reviews
  • Convert detailed technical and cost information into clear executive insights
  • Coordinate with engineers, cost analysts, and platform leads to align reporting tools with stakeholder priorities
  • Contribute to cost-reduction programs and digital tooling across engines, transmissions, cooling, exhaust, and related hardware

Requirements

  • Be an active engineering student in one of the final two semesters, preferably studying Mechanical Engineering
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Have advanced written and spoken English skills for communication with global teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
