Description

  • Guide students through learning, assessment, and holistic development.
  • Administer the curriculum in accordance with PEI guidelines.
  • Stay current with developments in the relevant professional field.
  • Teach back-end web development using Python and Django or Flask.
  • Design, develop, and implement REST APIs and web applications.
  • Complete 20 scheduled hours per week from Monday to Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with Saturday sessions ending at 12:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • University degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field focused on software development.
  • Specialization or postgraduate study in Software Development, Software Engineering, Software Architecture, Web Development, Data Science, or a related discipline is desirable but not required.
  • At least two years of back-end software development experience with Python and frameworks such as Django or Flask.
  • At least two years of experience teaching virtually, delivering training, or educating adults.
  • Knowledge of back-end development with Python.
  • Experience using Django and/or Flask.
  • Ability to design and consume REST APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Experience with ORMs such as Django ORM or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of software architecture and application deployment.
  • Experience using Docker, Nginx, and/or Apache.
  • Knowledge of security and authentication, including JWT, OAuth, and session management.
  • Version control experience with Git and GitHub.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools, including Microsoft 365.
