Description

  • Develop and maintain reliable data models with SQL and dbt.
  • Convert complex source data into reusable datasets for analytics and downstream users.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, and client-facing teams to clarify requirements and business logic.
  • Turn business challenges into scalable data solutions.
  • Establish consistent metrics, modelling standards, and analytical practices.
  • Contribute to real-time and incremental data-processing initiatives.
  • Use MongoDB change streams, Kafka, and AWS MSK in data workflows.
  • Document datasets clearly so they are easy to understand and use.
  • Enable teams to work more independently with data.

Requirements

  • Strong command of SQL and data modelling.
  • Experience converting large, complex datasets into dependable, reusable analytical models.
  • Practical Python experience and familiarity with modern analytics engineering tools such as dbt.
  • Experience applying testing, documentation, version control, and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational database architectures.
  • Understanding of dimensional modelling.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and services, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with event-driven or streaming architectures is preferred, particularly Kafka/AWS MSK, MongoDB change streams, CDC, or comparable technologies.
  • Hands-on experience using an orchestration platform such as Airflow.
  • Ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, Operations, analytics, and client-facing teams.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to own work from requirements through implementation, validation, documentation, and adoption.
  • UK Right to Work must be in place before employment starts.
