Description

  • Translate marketing strategies and business goals into clear content and creative direction
  • Partner with designers, strategists, and subject matter experts on concepts, messaging platforms, and content
  • Shape messaging, proof points, tone, and calls to action for varied audiences, channels, and contexts
  • Produce communications that reflect Sun Life’s “relentlessly human” brand voice
  • Simplify complex business, product, and industry information into engaging, audience-relevant communications
  • Support field communications with timely, practical messages for sales teams and field audiences
  • Lead content initiatives from briefing through delivery, coordinating audiences, channels, requirements, reviewers, timelines, and milestones
  • Create and maintain creative briefs, content plans, and workback schedules
  • Connect content throughout the end-to-end experience and wider content ecosystem
  • Use audience feedback, performance data, insights, and testing to improve content
  • Serve as a content and creative subject-matter expert by challenging briefs and proposing alternative approaches
  • Report to the Manager, Content, Advisor Content & Creative, within Distribution & Channel Marketing

Requirements

  • Bring strong content development, copywriting, and marketing or sales experience
  • Translate advanced industry, business, and product concepts into simple, engaging, relatable, audience-appropriate content
  • Generate creative solutions, track content and digital trends, apply audience insights, and recommend content approaches
  • Develop content for advisors, wholesalers, and end investors
  • Stay highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple projects at once
  • Adapt effectively to changing business and client priorities
  • Use strong interpersonal skills to consult, influence, build alignment, negotiate, establish trust, and offer constructive content guidance
  • Use AI and other technology tools to scale, automate, and improve content strategy and execution
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field, or relevant work experience is preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in marketing promotions, content development, content marketing, digital content, or related roles, with strong copywriting experience, is preferred
  • Knowledge of financial services, wealth, and insurance concepts is preferred
  • Experience creating social, web, and email content is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including advertising, is preferred
  • Previous insurance or financial services experience is preferred
