Machine Learning Engineer, Governance ML Platform (Europe Remote)
Build governance-focused machine learning infrastructure for EDB’s Postgres-based AI agent platform. Lead model serving, evaluation, red-team testing, and ongoing model improvement.
Description
- Own the infrastructure for governance models, covering serving, evaluation, red-team testing, and continuous improvement
- Develop next-generation AI agent infrastructure built on Postgres
- Create low-latency serving systems, evaluation pipelines, and model registry capabilities
- Achieve sub-50ms inference latency through quantization and distillation
- Establish drift monitoring, shadow deployments, telemetry-to-training pipelines, and model improvement workflows
- Build attack orchestration, scorecards, regression suites, and CI gates for red-team testing
- Develop continuous retraining, audit-trail dataset curation, and controlled auto-rollout processes
Requirements
- Bring 4–7 years of professional machine learning software engineering experience, including hands-on work with LLM-based or agentic systems
- Demonstrate strong production experience with ML serving, low-latency inference, and quantization or distillation
- Have built evaluation pipelines and worked with model registries
- Have developed red-team or adversarial testing harnesses with CI-gated regression suites
- Have experience with drift monitoring and shadow deployments
- Work fluently with SQL and PostgreSQL
- Apply a security-first mindset and have experience in audited environments
- Experience creating auto-retraining loops from production telemetry or audit data is advantageous
- Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), tool registries, and agent orchestration patterns is advantageous
- Postgres extension development in C or Rust, or contributions to the Postgres ecosystem, is advantageous
