Description

  • Research applicable laws, define compliance requirements, and inform business decisions
  • Ensure compliance programs meet global, regulatory, and industry standards
  • Partner with Operations, HR&ESG, Platform, Product, and Marketing teams to align implementation with business needs
  • Advise on international legal matters and help evaluate and manage risks across jurisdictions
  • Lead projects related to compliance
  • Help teams create, review, and manage legally supported internal processes
  • Join calls with internal stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and other parties across time zones
  • Provide legal advice and support partnership negotiations
  • Manage compliance documentation systems and related processes

Requirements

  • At least three years of legal experience, ideally spanning in-house and law firm practice
  • Experience with the U.S. market or an international business environment, particularly in compliance, is advantageous
  • A university law degree (Mag. iur.) is required
  • An LL.M. from a U.S. university is a strong advantage
  • Moot court participation, scholarships, or other academic distinctions are advantageous
  • Strong understanding of civil law
  • Experience in compliance, legal research, due diligence, or developing and evaluating compliance frameworks for an organization or clients is advantageous
  • Experience with or knowledge of ESG legislation, particularly PPWR/EPR, ESPR, and the EmpCo Directive
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in or experience with legal technology tools
  • Interest in or experience with the print-on-demand and e-commerce sectors
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team
  • Resume submitted in English
