Front-End Developer (React) – Remote UK

Build Reed in Partnership’s cloud CRM for public-service delivery using React. Create secure, tested features for thousands of users as part of an Agile team.

Description

  • Build new features and functionality with React, Redux, and suitable extensions or frameworks
  • Produce clean, maintainable, testable code aligned with company standards
  • Work with fellow developers to promote effective development practices
  • Contribute within an Agile team alongside Business Analysts, developers, Quality Assurance, a Project Manager, and a Project Owner
  • Maintain required system security standards and ensure new features follow established best practices
  • Investigate technical issues and recommend practical, high-quality solutions
  • Support the full project lifecycle, including testing and deployments outside standard hours
  • Manage assigned work, report progress to the Head of Business Systems and project teams, and escalate issues when needed
  • Support the CRM MVP rollout and later business-improvement phases
  • Build forms and fields for data retrieval, input, and display, incorporating Machine Learning outputs where appropriate
  • Complete other responsibilities assigned by the manager

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of React and functional components
  • Experience using Redux
  • Experience integrating REST APIs with back-end services
  • User experience and user interface experience
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest and/or React Testing Library
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience with Jira
  • Proficiency with a modern IDE such as IntelliJ and tools including ESLint
  • A proactive, creative approach to solving problems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Proven ability to manage tasks independently within large projects
  • Experience developing applications for cloud platforms, ideally Azure
  • Strong business and commercial awareness
  • Demonstrable experience managing data security
  • Experience developing CRM systems
