FPS Game Designer (Bucharest Hybrid)
Shape major features and gameplay for a large AAA first-person shooter with AMC Studio, a Bucharest-based 3D art and game development team.
Description
- Partner with the Game Director and Game Design team on decisions for a large AAA first-person shooter
- Define, lead, and communicate the vision for major design initiatives, new features, and substantial design overhauls
- Facilitate brainstorming workshops and playtest sessions
- Work with engineers, artists, and producers to design, tune, and implement gameplay direction
- Lead complex, high-impact game systems with minimal supervision
- Review internal and external metrics and feedback, adjusting game design and balance as needed
- Support prototyping, game balancing, and gameplay tuning
Requirements
- Professional game design experience with first- or third-person shooter games
- Full-cycle, cross-disciplinary development experience, including at least one shipped title as a game designer
- Knowledge of 3D level and game design tools, especially Unreal Engine 5
- Strong creative and technical attention to quality and detail
- Strong creative problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with project management methods and software
- A strong passion for games and active gaming experience
- Professional proficiency in spoken, written, and technical English
