Description
- Support developers in evaluating software for Veterans Affairs programs
- Create test plans and test cases from user stories
- Prepare test data through manual processes
- Run test cases to assess software performance
- Record and organize test results
- Report software defects to the development team
- Develop automation and software development skills while gaining hands-on testing experience
Requirements
- Experience with software testing methods, quality assurance processes, and release cycles
- Understanding of release procedures and software defect tracking
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
- Ability to select suitable testing methods and write test plans and cases
- Previous experience with federal or VA.gov digital services is highly desirable
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Public Trust security clearance
- Experience using JIRA
- Experience using Selenium
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Understanding of operating systems and computer networking
