Energy Program Intern (Hybrid) - Washington, DC

Support BPC’s Energy Project with clean-energy research, events, communications, and administrative work. Collaborate with bipartisan stakeholders from BPC’s Washington, DC office and remotely.

Description

  • Research energy policy and related topics
  • Assist project analysts and other staff with ongoing work
  • Develop practical insight into bipartisan policymaking and think tank operations
  • Contribute directly to analysis and research for BPC’s Energy Project
  • Help plan and coordinate events
  • Track relevant news and congressional developments
  • Assist with communications projects and written materials
  • Handle administrative tasks and support
  • Contribute to initiatives covering permitting reform, electric power, AI and energy, carbon accounting and markets, critical minerals, carbon management, climate and trade, and energy innovation

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students entering their junior year or later, current graduate students, or graduates from the past 12 months
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or graduation within the past 12 months
  • Non-U.S. citizens must hold valid work authorization or a visa permitting employment in the United States

  • Demonstrated research and writing ability
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Ability to set priorities and manage several tasks at once
