Embedded Software Engineer – Motor Control | Husqvarna Group, Huskvarna Hybrid

Develop embedded software for Husqvarna Group’s handheld battery-powered tools in a hybrid Huskvarna role. Work across motor control, Drive Systems, advanced development, and multidisciplinary product engineering.

Description

  • Create embedded software solutions for handheld battery-powered products
  • Support Advanced Development projects and core Drive Systems work
  • Contribute to pre-development, new product development, and the maintenance and enhancement of existing products
  • Collaborate across software, electronics, and mechanical engineering
  • Engage throughout software and product development activities
  • Coordinate with colleagues across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Own technical challenges and turn ideas into practical solutions
  • Build robust, efficient, and maintainable embedded software

Requirements

  • University degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline
  • Several years of experience developing low-level embedded software
  • Experience with motor control and battery systems is highly advantageous
  • Understanding of safety standards and cybersecurity, including the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)
  • Working knowledge of C, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and serial communication
  • Professional fluency in spoken and written English
  • Experience with Jira and C++ or C#
  • Electrical motor-control experience is highly advantageous
