Electromechanical Field Service Technician - TOMRA

Field service technician responsible for installing, commissioning, and repairing TOMRA’s food-sorting systems. Provides operator training and technical customer support across Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Description

  • Install and commission sorting equipment at customer sites
  • Perform preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs
  • Train equipment operators and maintenance personnel
  • Deliver technical guidance and advise customers on equipment matters
  • Represent TOMRA on site while supporting high service-quality standards
  • Prepare customer visits from a home-based location
  • Complete detailed service reports after interventions
  • Maintain and update technical documentation
  • Provide remote technical assistance when required
  • Cover Nouvelle-Aquitaine and nearby regions as the primary service area
  • Travel occasionally to other regions of France

Requirements

  • Hold a two-year technical qualification, such as Bac+2 or equivalent, in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, automation, electronics, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience diagnosing electrical faults and troubleshooting electromechanical equipment
  • Speak French fluently and communicate effectively in English in technical and professional settings
  • Bring proven experience with preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and industrial equipment repair in customer-facing environments
  • Have solid IT knowledge, especially of PCs, networks, and network configuration
  • Experience with field service, customer-site maintenance, commissioning, installation, or technical field support is advantageous
  • Demonstrate a strong customer-service mindset and excellent interpersonal communication
  • Hold a valid Category B driving licence
