Description

  • Assess the economic impact of AI and technology disruption across markets, business models and value chains to develop differentiated Gartner positions.
  • Work with the Tech Market Economics Modelling team to turn emerging signals into influential research and thought leadership.
  • Combine economic analysis, quantitative evidence, new data sources and domain expertise to form distinctive Gartner perspectives.
  • Produce research insights that inform executive decisions, industry narratives and market discussions.
  • Advance the Tech Market Economics agenda by identifying significant market opportunities and unanswered questions.
  • Present independent perspectives to Gartner leaders and help shape research priorities.
  • Create innovative, high-impact content that delivers essential insights to clients.
  • Develop thought leadership and practical approaches that address client needs.
  • Offer actionable advice through virtual and in-person client interactions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for Gartner conferences, industry events, media engagements and client briefings.
  • Support sales and business development through market intelligence and executive engagement.
  • Conduct timely, high-quality peer reviews of research content.
  • Establish authority on technology market economics and represent Gartner’s insights, methodology and strategy.
  • Contribute to innovation, ideation and research discussions while collaborating with colleagues across Gartner.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Maintain a client-focused approach centered on practical insights and measurable value.

Requirements

  • Experience evaluating the economic, commercial and competitive effects of Agentic AI disruption across markets, products, business models or value chains.
  • Experience combining economic analysis, quantitative evidence, financial statements, market intelligence and business context into differentiated research, thought leadership and strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to detect emerging economic and market changes and turn varied evidence into compelling executive narratives, research conclusions or business insights.
  • Sound judgment when assessing emerging signals, economic evidence and analytical results.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant industry or professional experience.
  • Executive presence and the ability to build credibility with senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Strong organization and the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent research and writing capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data effectively.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Subject matter expertise and confidence presenting to both large and small audiences.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of the global and competitive landscape in the relevant subject area.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a multicultural global team.
  • Ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategies with authority.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% where applicable.
