CAD and AI Engineering Trainer - Remote Contract

Description
- Provide hands-on instruction in AI fundamentals and their applications in engineering
- Teach AI-assisted approaches for engineering design and development processes
- Demonstrate contemporary CAD workflows enhanced by artificial intelligence
- Teach Generative Design and automated creation of design alternatives
- Explain how AI can support product development decisions
- Train participants in AI-based error identification and quality assurance
- Review and validate results produced by AI design tools
- Show how to incorporate AI effectively into established design and development workflows
- Help participants define and develop relevant AI use cases
- Guide learners through practical project assignments
- Help design, development, and technical engineering professionals use AI within CAD environments
- Explain the full design lifecycle in practical terms, from requirements and concept development through modeling, variant generation, optimization, evaluation, and documentation
Requirements
- Degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a related discipline
- At least five years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA
- Experience with parametric modeling and contemporary CAD workflows
- Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering product development and design processes
- Practical experience applying AI across development and design activities
- Experience spanning requirements analysis, concept development, technical solution design, modeling, generative design variants, component and assembly optimization, technical assessment, error identification, and quality improvement
- Experience preparing technical documentation, specifications, and bills of materials
- Experience using generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or comparable systems
- Ability to assess AI-generated outputs for functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
- Preferred experience with AI capabilities in modern CAD platforms, Generative Design, topology optimization, prompt engineering, data protection, copyright, responsible AI practices, or practical projects and workshops
- Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, CAD automation, simulation, Digital Engineering, or Digital Twins is advantageous
- Research experience in artificial intelligence and a software development specialization are not required
