Business Intelligence Analyst, Financial Reporting and Forecasting

Support business decisions through dashboards, reporting, and data analysis. Lead financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.

Description

  • Build and maintain moderately complex reports and dashboards
  • Analyze trends and patterns, producing recurring reports and visualizations that inform business decisions
  • Support reporting on key performance indicators, operational improvement opportunities, and root causes
  • Lead annual financial planning, including budget development, forecasting, performance monitoring, variance analysis, and leadership reporting
  • Evaluate product, operational, and vendor expenses to identify cost drivers and inform financial planning
  • Connect operational performance and product adoption with financial results and strategic priorities
  • Present findings and insights to peers and mid-level managers
  • Define report and analysis specifications based on business needs and available data
  • Work with colleagues on team projects and organizational initiatives

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Basic understanding of business operations and the broader operating environment
  • Proficiency with business intelligence applications and/or cloud services
  • Familiarity with reporting capabilities in ERP, CRM, and database platforms
  • Knowledge of data integration, cleansing, and validation methods
  • Proficiency with statistical and mathematical methods, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis
  • Understanding of financial reporting concepts, including budgets, forecasts, actual results, variance analysis, and performance measurement
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, or financial performance management
  • Working knowledge of data structures and data manipulation within visualization tools
  • Strong research skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, statistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred
