Business Analyst (Hybrid) - Naperville, Illinois

Analyze business needs, workflows, and data while improving enterprise processes. Build automated document templates and coordinate testing with business and technical stakeholders.

Description

  • Assess business needs, evaluate processes, and deliver insights based on data
  • Work with management, clients, technical teams, and external partners
  • Capture and document business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases
  • Lead workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather information
  • Evaluate system workflows and data exchange processes
  • Prepare process flow diagrams, business process models, and technical documentation
  • Review data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
  • Build reports and dashboards
  • Develop, code, test, and maintain automated document templates and workflows
  • Resolve document-generation problems involving templates, data mapping, conditional logic, formatting, and integrations
  • Partner with technical teams on solution design
  • Help improve business processes, systems, and workflows
  • Prepare and run test plans, including user acceptance testing and stakeholder validation
  • Help ensure solutions meet schedules, scope, and quality expectations
  • Report project status, issues, and resolutions
  • Bridge business requirements with system capabilities
  • Support project managers with schedule tracking, resource planning, and risk management
  • Find opportunities for automation and ongoing process improvement
  • Assist with solution implementation and other assigned responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity, communicate proactively, escalate risks, and support continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience with case management systems or enterprise applications
  • Background in requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated document templates with document automation or document assembly platforms
  • Experience with conditional logic, variable and data mapping, document assembly, and template testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience using document automation and document assembly platforms
  • Proficiency in SQL, data validation, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of project management principles and practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and ticketing or project tools
  • Experience supporting system implementation, testing, and quality assurance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Careful, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Visual acuity for reviewing data, documentation, and system interfaces
  • Ability to use a computer, telephone, and office equipment
  • Ability to move around the office occasionally for collaboration or equipment setup
