Back-End Developer I, Financial Services

Description

  • Build complex technical solutions for Omie’s software platform
  • Analyze and work within the backend architecture, including its components, structure, and functionality
  • Apply best practices for manual and automated testing and software requirements development
  • Evaluate and validate business solutions and architectures through collaboration and knowledge sharing with the development team
  • Contribute to tactical and operational discussions, annual technical goal setting, feasibility studies, and proofs of concept
  • Coach and collaborate with developers to identify business, architecture, and design solutions
  • Help the development team achieve short- and medium-term objectives by adapting practices, procedures, and task priorities as needed

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, another IT discipline, or Engineering is preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP system functionality is preferred
  • Knowledge of software development languages such as CoreBuilder, PHP, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, and C#
  • Knowledge of relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of cloud services from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git and SVN
  • Experience writing and running unit tests
  • Understanding of core principles for building scalable applications
  • Experience developing software in line with OWASP guidelines
  • Experience in customer support or customer service
  • Experience collaborating as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate English proficiency and at least two years of relevant experience.
