Quantitative Analyst – Weather Analysis, Aarhus Hybrid

Description

  • Research AI- and data-driven weather models for power trading
  • Create and enhance fundamental forecasts that convert weather signals into actionable power market intelligence
  • Deliver ad hoc weather and market analysis for trading, renewable asset balancing, and commercial decisions
  • Investigate additional data sources, modelling techniques, and analytical approaches
  • Convert research findings into reliable, scalable tools for traders and algorithms
  • Produce weather-based insights, forecasts, and models for trading and renewable asset optimisation
  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Lead quantitative modelling and research initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or another quantitative discipline
  • Professional experience writing maintainable, production-ready Python
  • Confidence working in Linux environments and with standard command-line tools
  • Strong quantitative fundamentals
  • Capability with statistical, mathematical, or data-driven modelling
  • Experience handling large and complex datasets
  • Ability to turn data-derived findings into usable solutions
  • Interest in the power trading industry
  • Practical, collaborative approach to execution
  • Previous energy-sector experience is not required
