Research, interpret, and refine statutory and regulatory legal content for Thomson Reuters products, including Westlaw, ProView, and print publications. Help deliver accurate, well-organized legal information for professional users.

Description

  • Research, analyze, and write legal interpretations
  • Add editorial context that clarifies legal developments for customers
  • Classify legal content with headnotes and related text
  • Update statutory materials by reviewing and incorporating enacted legislation
  • Check print and digital content for completeness and accuracy
  • Deliver editorial work on schedule and in line with quality expectations
  • Apply departmental and jurisdiction-specific editorial standards
  • Review personal and team work for accuracy, completeness, organization, and presentation
  • Build legal expertise through training and ongoing study of legal developments
  • Take part in team meetings and discussions
  • Organize and prioritize individual and team workloads
  • Contribute to performance review activities, including feedback and self-assessment
  • Learn Thomson Reuters Legal publications, products, and competing offerings
  • Use company systems, Westlaw, and online legal research tools effectively

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
  • Strong capabilities in legal research and analysis
  • Excellent editorial judgment with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret, organize, analyze, and clearly communicate complex legal material
  • Knowledge of editorial production workflows and requirements
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with internal and external contacts
  • Proficiency with personal computers and familiarity with word-processing and online applications preferred
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects preferred
  • Ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative team setting preferred
  • Proficiency with company systems, Westlaw navigation, and online research tools
