Accounts Payable Specialist — Ritchie Bros. (Hybrid, Netherlands)

Process invoices and supplier payments for Ritchie Bros.’ EMEA entities while maintaining accurate accounts payable records. Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close and reporting.

Description

  • Review and process invoices, credits, purchase orders, refunds, advance payments, and expense reports across EMEA offices and sale sites.
  • Enter invoice data in Basware and Oracle ERP.
  • Keep accounts payable subledger records complete and accurate.
  • Prepare invoices for timely, accurate payment.
  • Follow up on overdue and unpaid invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies independently or with sale site staff.
  • Confirm that approvals meet the company’s contractual obligations.
  • Support accounts payable close and reporting at month-, quarter-, and year-end.
  • Work with the Project team to simplify and improve processes.
  • Help teammates through training, guidance, workload support, anticipating issues, and maintaining process accuracy.

Requirements

  • At least two years of accounts payable and accounting experience.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Experience using Oracle.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Residence and authorization to work in the Netherlands.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive, accountable, and organized approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Experience improving processes in an operational department is an advantage.
