Accounts Payable Specialist (Michigan Remote)
Easterseals MORC is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoices, checks, audits, and claims. This full-time remote position requires residence in Michigan.
Description
- Oversee an accurate and efficient accounts payable workflow
- Verify, process, and record invoices and expenses
- Confirm that financial transactions comply with organizational policies and standards
- Complete annual business license and registration renewals and updates
- Enter and scan accounts payable invoices while managing coding and approvals
- Match checks with supporting records and mail them
- Support the preparation of annual audits and tax filings
- Handle general office tasks, including distributing mail
- Manage the debarment process for current vendors
- Approve and process MI Choice claims as instructed
- Review manual entries submitted by team members
- Examine check runs by matching invoices with checks and EFTs for accuracy
Requirements
- Associate degree in accounting or a related field
- Associate degree or higher in accounting
- Michigan residency is required
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
- Willingness to support and assist individuals affected by trauma-related issues
