Accounts Payable Specialist (Michigan Remote)

Easterseals MORC is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoices, checks, audits, and claims. This full-time remote position requires residence in Michigan.

Tavsif

  • Oversee an accurate and efficient accounts payable workflow
  • Verify, process, and record invoices and expenses
  • Confirm that financial transactions comply with organizational policies and standards
  • Complete annual business license and registration renewals and updates
  • Enter and scan accounts payable invoices while managing coding and approvals
  • Match checks with supporting records and mail them
  • Support the preparation of annual audits and tax filings
  • Handle general office tasks, including distributing mail
  • Manage the debarment process for current vendors
  • Approve and process MI Choice claims as instructed
  • Review manual entries submitted by team members
  • Examine check runs by matching invoices with checks and EFTs for accuracy

Talablar

  • Associate degree in accounting or a related field
  • Associate degree or higher in accounting
  • Michigan residency is required
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
  • Willingness to support and assist individuals affected by trauma-related issues
