Accountant (Hybrid) - France
Manage day-to-day accounting, month-end and year-end close activities, and tax reporting for Exodata’s digital transformation group. Help strengthen financial accuracy while supporting the digitization and improvement of accounting processes.
Description
- Support accounting operations across several Group companies
- Process and oversee routine transactions, including supplier invoices, bank activity, payroll postings, fixed assets, and other accounting flows
- Review general ledger entries and analytical account allocations
- Assist with VAT processing in line with Group procedures
- Track customer and supplier account balances
- Complete bank reconciliations and support variance analysis
- Contribute to monthly and annual closing activities according to your level of autonomy
- Reconcile and substantiate accounts, prepare year-end adjustments, review balances, and assemble closing data
- Gather information needed for tax returns
- Prepare audit documentation for chartered accountants and statutory auditors
- Investigate discrepancies and recommend process improvements
- Contribute to projects that digitize and optimize accounting processes
Requirements
- Accounting qualification such as BTS CG, DCG, DSCG, a Master’s degree in Accounting, Control and Auditing (CCA), or an equivalent credential
- Two to five years of professional experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and standard procedures
- Working knowledge of VAT, account management, and accounting close activities
- Proficiency in Excel and digital productivity tools
- Experience with Sage, Yooz, or another ERP is an advantage
- Methodical, well-organized, and dependable approach to work
- Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and flag discrepancies
- Communicates clearly with varied stakeholders
- Demonstrates discretion, professionalism, and strict confidentiality
- Motivated to learn and progressively operate with greater independence
