Industrial Services Operator

Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, pumps, and water treatment systems at Nestlé’s Cagayan de Oro factory. Help ensure a safe, reliable supply of utilities for factory operations.

Description

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain factory utility equipment, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment systems, compressors, pumps, and wastewater systems.
  • Keep steam, hot water, compressed air, cooling and chilled water, drinking and process water, and firefighting water available to meet factory needs.
  • Start up, operate, and shut down equipment in line with established procedures.
  • Monitor equipment condition, operating parameters, gauges, meters, indicators, and alarms, and report abnormalities.
  • Carry out routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, lubrication, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Check cooling water and lubrication systems, temperatures, pressures, filters, leaks, and other equipment conditions.
  • Perform water treatment, water analysis, and utility sampling to meet quality standards.
  • Log operating parameters, equipment readings, maintenance work, breakdowns, and other relevant information.
  • Coordinate with Production and other teams on utility needs, equipment status, interruptions, and maintenance.
  • Spot abnormalities early and take preventive action to reduce the risk of equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain tools, spare parts, equipment records, manuals, work orders, and operating documents.
  • Hand over shifts with clear updates on equipment status and key operational information.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow factory safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred; equivalent qualifications may also be considered.
  • Certified plant mechanics and graduates of Mechanical Technology or other relevant engineering or technical programs may also be considered.
  • Preferably 1–2 years of related experience in industrial utilities, plant operations, equipment maintenance, or a similar area.
  • Experience or knowledge of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air compressors, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or other utility equipment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, basic equipment troubleshooting, water treatment and analysis, and operational parameter monitoring.
  • Ability to accurately document equipment readings, operating activities, maintenance work, and shift handovers.
  • Strong safety awareness and the ability to respond appropriately to equipment abnormalities and operational issues.
  • Willingness to work in a factory environment and on rotating shifts.
