Specialty Account Representative, Michigan

Sell hematology and oncology pharmaceuticals for Pharmacosmos Therapeutics across Greater Detroit. Manage complex accounts, grow the territory, build stakeholder relationships, and conduct compliant field sales.

Description

  • Achieve or exceed territory sales targets
  • Create and execute territory business plans
  • Put marketing strategies into action and use approved resources with stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Retain and grow the customer base while identifying new business opportunities
  • Carry out national and regional initiatives
  • Use Pharmacosmos sales processes across multiple products and brand strategies
  • Stay current on products, markets, disease states, customer groups, portfolios, and competitors
  • Manage complex accounts and grow business opportunities using account insights
  • Target accounts based on knowledge of buy-and-bill, GPO contracting, and distribution channels
  • Analyze business data and trends to guide decisions
  • Prioritize and plan opportunities in line with company objectives and brand strategies
  • Work with Marketing, Training, Market Access, Strategy and Operations, and Medical Affairs
  • Lead or contribute to projects, conferences, regional and national meetings, and task forces
  • Create a career plan and take initiative to improve performance
  • Follow company policies, government regulations, the employee handbook, and expense rules
  • Carry out other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least six years of recent pharmaceutical sales experience
  • At least three years of specialty pharmaceutical experience
  • Buy-and-bill and hematology/oncology experience preferred
  • Knowledge of account-based selling
  • Experience selling an infusion product through the buy-and-bill model
  • General knowledge of reimbursement
  • Demonstrated sales success in hematology/oncology and hospital accounts or multiple sites of care
  • Ability to build and grow relationships with key stakeholders across complex accounts
  • Strong analytical skills and business judgment
  • Documented record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Availability for up to 30% overnight travel
  • Ability to reach a major airport for travel
  • Ability to follow company policies and government regulations
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
