Electro-Mechanical Technician, 3rd Shift — Nestlé

Maintain and repair Nestlé manufacturing equipment on the third shift, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.

Description

  • Prepare for daily operations by completing startup tasks, reviewing work orders and preventive maintenance assignments, and gathering tools and materials.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation, and control system faults in manufacturing equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and limit downtime.
  • Record work, labor hours, notifications, and maintenance activities in SAP, Digital Manufacturing Operations (DMO), and related systems.
  • Contribute to root cause investigations and improvement efforts involving safety, quality, reliability, and production performance.
  • Guide equipment operators on technical adjustments, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Keep maintenance records, procedures, spare parts details, and engineering drawings up to date.
  • Maintain a clean work area and safe working conditions.
  • Communicate with other shifts and document work in line with company procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of related industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience maintaining complex manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical drive systems and packaging equipment.
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills, including motor control circuits.
  • Basic troubleshooting of PLCs, automation, and safety circuits.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and field devices.
  • Welding, fabrication, and basic machining skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and P&IDs.
  • Computer skills and experience with CMMS or SAP.
  • Ability to work in industrial conditions and perform standing, walking, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must follow Nestlé policies and requirements for safety, quality, GMP practices, environmental programs, NQMS, and applicable ISO standards.
