Senior Game Designer, Soulframe
Lead gameplay design for Soulframe across combat, AI, UI, character movement, mini-games, and co-op systems. Shape the player experience while guiding design collaboration at Digital Extremes.
विवरण
- Own the core player experience across UI, character movement and combat, enemy movement and AI, mini-games, and co-op features
- Guide and mentor designers in delivering Soulframe’s creative direction and product objectives
- Partner with animation, programming, and level design teams to create a polished player experience
- Work with the tools team to improve gameplay workflows and enable faster iteration and testing
- Represent product objectives and creative direction across development disciplines
- Use gameplay data, player feedback, and internal playtest results to refine designs
- Document game design concepts and communicate them clearly across development teams
- Monitor industry developments and new approaches to enemy and boss design
- Take part in playtests and exchange constructive feedback to improve combat encounters
- Handle additional responsibilities assigned to the role
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least five years of experience as a video game designer
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing gameplay, preferably in live-service or multiplayer projects
- Experience developing either first-person or third-person games
- Strong knowledge of player feedback loops, hit detection, and animation timing
- Hands-on experience with game engines and familiarity with game design tools
- Ability to interpret gameplay data and user feedback
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to take on other senior-level responsibilities as assigned
