  • Promote Sysco products and services while cultivating relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Support customer success while pursuing company sales and profit objectives.
  • Expand business, grow existing accounts, and reduce customer loss within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and qualify prospects in line with account stratification objectives.
  • Assess customer needs and create product and service mixes that address them.
  • Monitor market trends and recommend relevant products.
  • Share market, product, pricing, availability, and usage information with customers.
  • Deliver product guidance and hands-on training to customer personnel.
  • Use a personal vehicle to visit customers and attend conventions, company meetings, and other events.
  • Coordinate accounts receivable communication and collections with customers and the credit department.
  • Oversee deliveries and resolve order-processing problems.
  • Take part in company activities, promotions, customer visits, and customer events.
  • Attend general sales and district meetings.
  • Complete ongoing training programs.
  • Help train new employees when requested.
  • Examine sales, special-order, bid-file, and gross-profit-margin reports.
  • Prepare sales budgets, reports, records, credits, pickup requests, quotes, and menu recommendations.
  • Work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays when business needs require.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED plus three years of restaurant management, B2B, outside sales, or equivalent relevant experience, including completion of the Sysco Sales Internship.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that satisfies company insurability standards.
  • Automobile insurance with bodily injury coverage of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, plus $100,000 in property damage coverage.
  • Successful completion of employment testing.
  • Agreement to sign the Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.
  • Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, the geographic area served by the territory.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States.
  • Preferred: bilingual ability or experience in restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or culinary work.
