Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform and SRE at DB
Build resilient cloud platforms for Brazilian technology company DB. Automate CI/CD, observability, infrastructure as code, and reliability across critical applications and environments.
Tavsif
- Design and improve cloud and hybrid infrastructure and platform solutions for reliability, availability, performance, and scale.
- Build and maintain standardized CI/CD pipelines with automation, quality, security, and observability practices.
- Advance GitOps and infrastructure as code, automating environment provisioning, configuration, and management.
- Create reusable templates, accelerators, and components that simplify development and standardize delivery.
- Set observability strategies for applications, infrastructure, and data platforms, covering metrics, logs, traces, APM, alerts, and dashboards.
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to guide continuous improvement and balance innovation with reliability.
- Lead critical incident analysis and response, coordinating mitigation, root cause investigations, and postmortems.
- Improve reliability and observability for data environments, including Databricks, data lakes, and pipelines, identifying gains in performance, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Work with development, infrastructure, and data teams to adopt platform standards, increase automation and scalability, and reduce operational toil.
- Find ways to improve resource use and lower costs across cloud environments and data platforms through FinOps practices.
Talablar
- Bring strong SRE experience across reliability, availability, performance, incident management, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Have experience with cloud infrastructure on GCP, AWS, or Azure; hybrid environments are preferred.
- Have experience with CI/CD tools and automating build, test, deployment, and operations using tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Have experience with GitOps and infrastructure as code, especially Terraform.
- Have experience with observability for metrics, logs, traces, and APM using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Elastic, Datadog, or SigNoz.
- Have experience with containers and orchestration, including Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
- Understand deployment approaches such as canary, blue-green, and rolling deployments.
- Understand networking and connectivity in cloud and hybrid environments, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and troubleshooting.
- Be proficient in at least one programming or scripting language—Python, Go, Java, Node.js, or Shell Script—for automation and internal tool development.
- Understand databases and concepts related to performance, availability, and capacity.
- Understand cloud cost and usage optimization practices, including FinOps.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Cloud or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
- Have experience building and evolving engineering platforms or Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
- Have experience creating templates, accelerators, reusable components, and self-service mechanisms.
- Understand software engineering practices, including design patterns and integration across technology stacks.
- Have experience with or familiarity with data environments such as Databricks, data lakes, lakehouses, and data pipelines.
- Have experience with or familiarity with financial industry compliance standards.
- Understand capacity planning, performance engineering, and continuous operational improvement.
