Sedgwick seeks a remote Liability Claims Adjuster to manage nationwide general liability, property, and product liability claims. The role covers exposure investigations, settlement negotiations, and claim communication with clients and claimants.
Tavsif
- Evaluate general liability, property, and product liability claims for clients and determine applicable benefits.
- Adjudicate claims consistently with service standards, industry practices, and client-specific requirements.
- Use action plans to analyze, process, and resolve claims promptly.
- Investigate incidents and collect information needed to assess claim exposure.
- Negotiate settlements within assigned authority limits.
- Keep claimants and clients informed about claim activity and processing.
- Submit applicable claims reports to excess carriers.
- Handle direction requests promptly and professionally.
Talablar
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Relevant professional certification is preferred when applicable to the business line.
- At least four years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
- Knowledge of nationwide claims jurisdictions.
- New York or Hawaii claims license.
- Capability to assess general liability, property, and product liability claims.
- Strong clear and conceptual thinking skills.
- Sound judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical ability, and discretion.
