Opis

  • Oversee a global portfolio of commercial disputes and litigation
  • Manage litigation matters spanning multiple jurisdictions
  • Lead copyright and other intellectual property enforcement and defense
  • Direct class action defense involving antitrust and privacy claims
  • Set litigation strategy in support of business objectives
  • Assess cases early and manage budgets and risk
  • Choose, instruct, and oversee outside counsel worldwide
  • Manage disclosure, discovery, and records using eDiscovery and legal technology
  • Address subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and other third-party information demands
  • Report to the Global Head of Commercial Litigation
  • Partner with business leaders, colleagues across GCO practice groups, and outside counsel worldwide
  • Follow the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles

Zahteve

  • Law degree
  • Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • At least 5–10 years of post-qualification experience handling commercial litigation or arbitration in private practice or in-house
  • Comfort with emerging legal technology, including legal AI and eDiscovery tools
  • Sound judgment to provide timely, practical advice and set strategy
  • Strong written and spoken communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across jurisdictions
  • Preferred: strong experience in data protection or privacy law, or intellectual property, especially copyright enforcement
  • Preferred: written and spoken fluency in languages in addition to English
