Descriere

  • Create PCB layouts for circuit card assemblies.
  • Place components within size constraints and route traces between them.
  • Review design milestones with design and manufacturing process engineers.
  • Release PCB and circuit card assembly drawings.
  • Check designs against electrical and physical specifications.
  • Confirm designs meet manufacturing and assembly requirements.
  • Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings and documentation.
  • Revise PCB designs in response to engineering changes.
  • Contribute ideas to help the design team resolve issues.
  • Update drawings and documentation in response to engineering change requests.
  • Create ECAD library footprints and schematic symbols as needed.

Cerințe

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least 6 years of relevant experience, or hold a graduate degree and have at least 4 years of related experience.
  • A degree may be substituted with at least 10 years of related experience.
  • Have several years of PCB design experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and PCB design experience.
  • Bring competent skills and experience using ECAD software and related equipment.
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition, formerly Mentor Graphics, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PCB design technologies, layout methods, electrical schematics, and PCB fabrication and assembly drawings is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of IPC design standards, including design for manufacturability, and ASME/ANSI documentation standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-610 is preferred.
  • Experience supporting backend management and maintenance of ECAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition and EDM.
  • An associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or IPC CID certification is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is beneficial.
