Senior PCB Designer
Designing PCB layouts, drawings, and ECAD libraries for L3Harris aerospace and defense systems. This remote U.S. role supports manufacturing-ready circuit card assemblies.
Apraksts
- Create PCB layouts for circuit card assemblies.
- Place components within size constraints and route traces between them.
- Review design milestones with design and manufacturing process engineers.
- Release PCB and circuit card assembly drawings.
- Check designs against electrical and physical specifications.
- Confirm designs meet manufacturing and assembly requirements.
- Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings and documentation.
- Revise PCB designs in response to engineering changes.
- Contribute ideas to help the design team resolve issues.
- Update drawings and documentation in response to engineering change requests.
- Create ECAD library footprints and schematic symbols as needed.
Prasības
- Hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least 6 years of relevant experience, or hold a graduate degree and have at least 4 years of related experience.
- A degree may be substituted with at least 10 years of related experience.
- Have several years of PCB design experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and PCB design experience.
- Bring competent skills and experience using ECAD software and related equipment.
- Experience with Siemens Xpedition, formerly Mentor Graphics, is preferred.
- Knowledge of PCB design technologies, layout methods, electrical schematics, and PCB fabrication and assembly drawings is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of IPC design standards, including design for manufacturability, and ASME/ANSI documentation standards is preferred.
- Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-610 is preferred.
- Experience supporting backend management and maintenance of ECAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition and EDM.
- An associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or IPC CID certification is preferred.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is beneficial.
