Senior IT Security and Compliance Program Lead – Essen Hybrid

Lead IT security and compliance for E.ON Drive Infrastructure’s pan-European public EV charging network. Govern cybersecurity, risk, regulatory obligations, and incident reporting across 11 European markets.

Descriere

  • Coordinate a unified IT security and compliance program across all markets, including country-level milestones
  • Monitor cybersecurity regulations in each market and maintain current authority registrations
  • Give country managing directors clear, regular visibility into program status
  • Maintain the risk register and deliver quarterly management reports
  • Assess critical suppliers with Procurement and review security provisions in supplier contracts
  • Lead incident reporting as the escalation contact for the managed security operations center
  • Maintain security policies and verify the effectiveness of key controls
  • Coordinate security training for management and awareness initiatives for employees
  • Prepare security evidence for tenders and audits
  • Define the scope of and oversee external specialists conducting penetration tests and technical work
  • Serve as the IT contact for business continuity and crisis management
  • Partner with Legal, Data Protection, Procurement, Product Owners, and business leaders across country organizations
  • Operate as a senior individual contributor with full ownership and accountability, without direct people-management duties

Cerințe

  • Five to eight years of experience in information security governance, risk, and compliance
  • Experience working in a group with multiple legal entities or countries is preferred
  • Professional background in IT operations, infrastructure, security operations, or IT audit
  • Experience assessing suppliers through SOC 2 or ISO 27001 evidence, managing exceptions, and evaluating vendor responses
  • Ability to determine within hours whether an incident is reportable and identify the appropriate recipients using incomplete information
  • Experience managing a compliance program end to end, from planning and milestones through status reporting and closure
  • Ability to explain obligations, costs, and requirements clearly to managing directors without jargon
  • Hands-on experience implementing NIS2, KRITIS, or comparable cybersecurity regulations, ideally across multiple countries
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, or BSI IT-Grundschutz Practitioner certification
  • CISM or CISA certification is welcome
  • Fluent English
  • German is a strong advantage when working with the BSI
  • Based in Germany, ideally within commuting distance of Essen, with occasional travel to other markets
  • Experience in energy, operational technology, IoT environments, or business continuity is advantageous
