Descriere

  • Lead backend architecture across service boundaries, data ownership, and service communication.
  • Establish reference designs and conventions for new backend services.
  • Set REST and gRPC standards, upheld through code reviews and automated checks.
  • Guide messaging and event architecture, including delivery guarantees, ordering, and idempotency.
  • Define backend security, observability, and resilience standards.
  • Write production code, create shared libraries and proofs of concept, and modernize legacy services.
  • Work with architects, engineering teams, and stakeholders to turn business needs into robust, scalable solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and promote backend best practices across the global engineering organization.
  • Design and build internal backend services and APIs for client balances, payments, and identity, including support for web and mobile applications.

Cerințe

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field at bachelor’s or master’s level, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of hands-on backend engineering experience, including several years designing distributed services used by multiple teams.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Expert Python skills and asynchronous programming experience.
  • Production experience with modern Python frameworks such as FastAPI.
  • Deep knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven design, and REST and gRPC API development.
  • Strong SQL and NoSQL data architecture skills, including schema design, complex queries, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka and Redis.
  • Experience architecting high-throughput financial systems such as ledgers, payments, or balance processing.
  • Strong Docker and CI/CD background, with working knowledge of observability stacks.
  • AWS, Kubernetes, and Next.js experience is an advantage.
  • Must be eligible or legally authorized to work in the country where the role is based.
